AUTOBODY COLOR
Company, Inc. has been in the business of distributing Paint, Body Shop
Supplies and Equipment for the Collision Repair Industry for over
65years. We provide Product Knowledge, Training, Service, and
bottom-line profitability through our Kansas City, St. Joseph, Jefferson
City Missouri & Western, KS locations.
AUTOBODY COLOR was
originally opened as NASON Paint Store in Smithville, Missouri at the
end of World War II and moved to St. Joseph in 1949 where it is still
presently located. Dan Sommerhauser joined NASON Paint Store as a
delivery driver in 1962. The name “NASON Paint Store” was changed to
AUTOBODY COLOR & was incorporated in 1974. Dan and his wife Linda
purchased 49% of AUTOBODY COLOR in 1977 and assumed 100% ownership in
1983. The first branch was opened in 1982 in Kansas City, Missouri.

for AUTOBODY COLOR Company is located in Kansas City, Missouri. This
building includes 2,400 Square feet of office space, and 7,600 square feet
of warehouse space. AUTOBODY COLOR employee’s 23 professionals to serve our
customers needs and wants. This includes Dan’s Brother, Linda’s Sister,
their Daughter, Her Husband, and Grandson. Auto Body Color also employees a
Father/Daughter team in the Kansas City location as well as a Father/Son in
sales. Dan Sommerhauser was a founding member of the SCRS and served as
local chapter president. Jim Sommerhauser has also served as local chapter
president and is very active in regional and national activates. Linda
Sommerhauser served three years on the National Board of Directors for the
ASIA PB&E division and now sits on the AKZO/NOBEL Wholesaler‘s Board.
In addition to Paint and
Body Shop Supplies AUTOBODY EQUIPMENT SOLUTIONS LLC, sells, installs, and
services New and Used Equipment for the Collision Repair and Industrial
applications. We specialize in the sale and installation of Spray Booths,
Paint/Prep Stations, Shop Vacuum Systems, Compressors, Airline’s,
Specialized Welding Equipment, Short Wave Curing, Drying systems, Frame
Straightening Equipment, Computerized Measuring. Curtain Walls and MUCH
more. We also offer Filter’s/Filter Service, assist in Body Shop Layouts, as
well as assist in the relocation of Shop Equipment.

EQUIPMENT SOLUTIONS) has been doing installations and maintenance of
equipment in the Six State area of Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas,
